You should be mowing and watering regularly now. Near the end of June is a good time to trim and spruce up any hedges.

If you haven’t already trimmed your hedges, trim them the first part of the month before the heat sets in. As the weather heats up, sprinklers will have to be adjusted for more frequent and/or longer watering cycles. Continue to watch for insect problems. Many insects become active with the warmer weather. Keeping ahead of them can be a real battle, but one that the homeowner can win.  

Adjust for watering needs again. Keep up the weekly mowings. Continue to watch for insect problems. Feed lawn and plants as needed for tolerance to heat. Keep that weed whacker going!
